I was researching about water and it was shocking to know that people are taking water for granted. As for it also it reminded me of the conversation I over heard in down town Los Angeles on my way to work about the economy and paying bills. This past few years we have suffer from water age and the economy is getting worst. Businesses owners are commenting that business is getting slower and slower. They are not making the profit that they used to make. According to what I have heard in people’s conversations they are complaining that the bills are getting to expensive and hard to pay.
On Tue. Oct. 13 we had storms; clouds roll in and finally rain in Los Angeles. But many people question it would this rain stay or is it just going to rain for a few days. Summer is over; would this be a good or bad news business owners? The economy is bad and people are getting worried of how to pay their bills since we are suffering from water age the bills rates are increasing.
People are using the hose to clean their drive way and side walk instead of using the broom. Since we are experiencing a water age and a bad economy we should consider and have conscious about saving as much as we can. Hear are some tips that will help save water and some money.
Fist tip, they are many ways to save water and they all start with you.
When washing dishes by hand, don’t let the water run while rising. Fill one sink with wash water and the other with rinse water.
Water your lawn and garden in the morning or evening when the temperatures are cooler to minimize evaporation.
Use a broom instead of a hose to clean the drive way, side walk ECT.
If your shower fills in one gallon bucket in less then 20 seconds, replace the shower head with a water efficient model.
Shorten your shower by a minute or two and you’ll save up to 150 gallons per month.
Drop your tissue in the trash instead of flushing it and save water everytime.
Turn off the water while you shave and save up to 300 gallons a month.
And when you give your pet fresh water don’t throw the old water down the drain use it to water your threes or shrubs.
